Mahogany sighting compass in brass, celluloid and glass, circa 1918.
Stamped marks on the base; broad arrow (military issue)
J.WARDALE &Co LONDON 1918 No8344
Jeweled moving dial compass, sighting through the pinhole in the clasp.
Fitted with bezel clamp and parking lever.
3,1/16″ or 78mm square mahogany body.
The jeweled bearing is probably dirty so motion of the magnetic dial is hesitant, otherwise in very good condition with no damage or repair.
Diameter of compass 3,1/16″ or 78mm.
