Description

A rare and very small (4,1 to 6,5 cm lenght) pocket mocular spyglass by the parisian instrument maker Max Balbreck and signed on the tube ” “Tom Pouce” Marque déposée MB ” and on the lid of the small case “Tom Pouce marque déposée”.
 
According with the Balbreck’s catalogue (see the last one picture), this really miniature pocket monocular is “The smallest [telescope] built until today”, and the present example is the number 1, the smallest with a magnification of 3x.
 
The present example has preserved its tiny leather case lined with green silk and green velvet.
 
Perfect original and optical condition.
