Description

A very fine example of a classic Giroux ophthalmoscope preserved in its original leather case lined with red silk and purple velvet.

 

The ophthalmoscope with its ivory handle comes with two normal mirrors, plus one concave and one plano. There is also a large magnifier consisting in a biconvexe lens.

The ophthalmoscope itself is composed of 2 discs of 11 lenses (0 to 10 + one “x”).

The leather case bears the initials “L.L.”

Very good general condition.
