Description

A Victorian Polyprism Magnifier Simple Microscope, England c.1860.

A simple microscope applied to a popular instrument of amusement in Victorian times. It has a single lens magnifier with screw focus and internally a specimen iron spike in front of a green faceted glass, or polyprism.

Red burgundy leather covered brass tube with gilding.

Length: 3.2cm (1 ¼”).
