Description

A very fine example of an English silver spyglass nécessaire with embossed flower, floral and C-scroll decorations.

Each optics, eyepiece and objective, has its original sliding cover. The lenses are contemporary, in brass mounted, and the focusing and view are good and sharp.

The two parts can be opened by sliding. The interior has still preserved some instruments, all marked with an “A”.

The spyglass bears the 19th century Paris import hallmark “ET”, what is a rare thing.

The external condition is especially fine with a silver without any mark of uses.

Total lenght : 10,5 cm
