Description

A rare example of an early handle optical prisme, we can date from the early 19th century.

The triangular prism measures 6,7×4 cm, there is two cracks on the edges but the prism is still usable for optical experimentations.

 

The full instrument measures 21 cm lenght and the ivory handle 6,8 cm.

This is a rare and early brass mounting for an optical prism of good size.
