Antique later 19th century nautical navigator’s precision brass 8″ 360 degree course-laying protractor with actual and reciprocal bearings. Marked by the maker, “F. Robson & Co, Newcastle on Tyne.”
Some marks and minor abrasions; generally in good condition for its age. Contained in its original, blue velvet-lined mahogany case with maker’s ivorene plate to inside of lid, secured by swinging brass catches.
F. Robson & Co, Newcastle on Tyne, is recorded as working from 1875-1895.
