Description

Offered for sale is an splendid exemple of a very well preserved microscope by “ARTHUR CHEVALIER”. The microscope is an early one before he signed his microscopes as “Dr Arthur Chevalier ”
 
It is housed in its magahony polished case surrounded by a large number of lenses. Inside there two brass objectives housed in their cans. There are also 3 eyepieces and a beautiful and complete bullseye.

The microscope stands on a heavy cast brass base. At the back is the upright that supports the microscope which can rotate over the stage. Below the stage there is a plano-concave mirror in good condition. Above the mirror is the stage with a sub-stage swinging light stop device.

The microscope comes with the following:

Cosmetically the microscope is in very good condition with minor wear to the scope finish.
