Description

Antique, c1860, French brass course plotter or single-arm protractor with engraved maker’s name: “Secretan a Paris,” in original mahogany case with manufacturer’s paper label. The 360 degree 7″ diameter circle with vernier; the arm 14″ in length from centre of circle.
 
The case lacks closing hooks but otherwise in fair condition, commensurate with usage and age.  
 
Case dimensions: 19″ long 8″ wide x 2 1/4″ deep.
