Description

   For your consideration is this ‘ SURVEYOR’S SIGHTING COMPASS & INCLINOMETER ‘.  Brass fittings housed in a mahogany case (dark, smallish stain on the top).  Measures 3 x 3 x 1 inch.  Both swing-clip latch closures are present.  Spirit level is intact with an easily seen bubble.  Crosshairs are still in each of the sighting tabs.   Compass needle swings readily and needle lock is working order.  Rare compass / clinometer instrument  by one of the most noted of early Scientific Instrument makers…
