Description

Offered for sale is a well preserved example of an early 19th century Cary type field microscope. This one is unsigned and measures 29 cm tall including the box. The microscope is in good condition with some wear according to its age. It has a very small dent on the top of the scope that can be seen on last picture

 

It comes with 3 lenses (may be used alone or stacked together in a variety of combinations), live-box and beautiful tweezers, as well as an ivory black and white viewing disc and twe bone slides (one is missing one sample). Focus is achieved by rack and pinion that moves the stage up and down (sometimes it needs some help). Case measures 16x11x4 cm
