Tiberius Cavallo (1749–1809) was an Italian natural philosopher who made improvements to many instruments; he settled in London and became a Fellow of the Royal Society. Here he gives a detailed and extensive description of a new air-pump, illustrated with three large folding plates showing the specifics of the design in immense detail.
Condition: very good; paper is age-toned but generally clean and bright; the plates are good, noting only some minor spotting (but see pictures). Rebound in plan card covers.
