Description

A very rare booklet by the young Eugène Ducretet (born in 1844, he was 25 years old in 1869) describing with illustrations his new Ampere Table modified by Bertin, his pneumatic machine transformed into suction and pressure machine by himself, and 11 electrical apparatus.

The first Ducretet catalague was published in 1867 and the second in 1869, both are extremely rare, and I can be able to trace only one copy of the first. I don’t know if they are illustrated.

But the present short publication is the first separated edition of the booklet presenting and illustrating the famous Ampere table modified by Bertin and manufactured by Ducretet and the Ducretet pneumatic machine.

For the pneumatic machine and the Ampere’s table, Ducretet published both second editions in 1874 under the title “Notice sur la table d’Ampère modifiée par M. Bertin” (Paris, Stalin et Labouré)

A rarity and an important publication in the history of Ducretet firm.
