Offered for sale is a very fine and complete compound microscope outfit by Carl Zeiss. The microscope is engraved “C. Zeiss Jena 9811”, contained in its original wooden case with the serial number impressed on the rim, and a small wooden case fitted inside which is also impressed with the serial number.

Description

Offered for sale is a very fine and complete compound microscope outfit by Carl Zeiss. The microscope is engraved “C. Zeiss Jena 9811”, contained in its original wooden case with the serial number impressed on the rim, and a small wooden case fitted inside which is also impressed with the serial number.

 

The microscope stands on a beautiful cast brass base and measures about 28 cm tall in its closed position.  Coarse focus is by adjusting the tube and fine focus knob is mounted on the top of the limb. The scope is in good condition for its age, good working order, and it delivers beautiful clear images.

 

The microscope comes with the following:
Zeiss objective “A” in its can
Zeiss objective “D” in its can
C. Reichert objective “3” in its can
C. Reichert 1/12 Hom. can 
2 C. Zeiss eyepieces
