Description

A fine, bright brass camera lucida in fitted card case by Carpenter & Westley. Signed on both the instrument and case, this drawing instrument has been rarely used. C-shaped clamp, extendable arm and prism head with black peep and rare blue filter. Perfect condition. The brown card case is a little scuffed on the corners and one small piece of the pink silk liner is missing, otherwise no issues with the prism, mechanics or lacquer. Both signed 24 Regent Street and case doubly signed for Waterloo Place. c. 1850.
