An interesting example of slide test of diatoms allowing to test and compare the resolution / quality of the objectives of a microscope.

This example is quite especially interesting because the anonymous manuscript written label gives the diatom according with the Kützing’s classificiation : “Amphipleura pellucida, Kütz.”, but also the thickness of the cover glass “0,16 – 0,17 mm” and the “medium” used.
