Instructions written in French on both top & bottom of the outer case. The compass case is made from mahogany and satinwood ( 9cms x 9cms ), the hinged lid with mirror and sighting slit, the dial dated 1916 and has 8 cardinal points. The compass card signed, “Systeme Du General Peigne – Delagrave Edr Paris’, also, ‘Visees Ascedantes’, also signed, ‘Gal Peigne’. With 16 cms rule down one side; the front with two hooks and catches.
