Description

Acting also as a protractor,the front face of this ivory instrument by Matthew Berge houses a twin wheeled roller in a moulded ivory housing held with six brass screws,the rolling device terminating in two silvered brackets held also with screws.The back face is profusely engraved with multiple calculating tables and measuring devices.There is a small chip to one corner.The red satin lined case is mounted in ivory with a silver hinge and closes on a friction pin without button,and is covered in a deep burgundy morocco with line tooling.
