Late18th Nuremberg  Culpeper type wooden microscope by “IM “


Very fine in original conditions and patina of Nuremberg  Microscope   signed “JFF”

This three legs “Culpeper” type  microscopes were manufactured in Nuremberg Germany by the wooden toy makers.

They are constructed of wood with decorated cardboard tubes produced from the late 18th to early 19th century.

Many of these instruments have the initials of the maker burnt into the wood base, the mark  of this microscope is well knew “IM”.

The overall conditions of this microscope are excellent  with original optics and wooden patina,  small parts wood caps  are missing.  ( you can see in  the photos)

size: 33cm high , 12cm diam. base.
