Description

How to recognize the stars and constellations in the sky of the city of Lyon in 1800 ? Rare French regional astronomical manuscript.   Méthode pour apprendre à connoitre les constellations, 4vo of (21) pages and 1 folio leaf of a drawing of Celestial map for the city of Lyon in France (38×27 cm).   In this popular astronomical book, the author writes a last part to learn easly how to recognize the constellations in the sky of the city of Lyon.  So, the celestian map is especially interesting because it’s not another general celestial map, but it’s a celestial planisphere representing the constellations visible in Lyon around 1800.  Very fine original condition, only a small tear on the folio leaf.  The add of paper on the folio leaf is original, it’s not a restoration.
