Description

The term “penis congester” was used in many late 19th-century and early 20th century medical instrument catalogs to describe devices that were sold to bring on erection and/or  add inches to the male organ. In some catalogs they are described as “enlargers”.  The same catalogs often illustrate a female counterpart for breast enlargement. I suspect that few penises or breasts were enhanced by the application of such devices  but hope sprang eternal. The size of the cylinder is just shy of 9″ or 22.5 cms.–aspirational I’m sure but as they say “in for a penny in for a pound”. The bulb has can no longer be compressed but it is all there and the release valve still seems to work. No scratches, cracks or chips in the glass cylinder. The name of the maker (Erie Medical Co) is molded into the glass.
