Unusual and rare ballooning / mountaineering pocket aneroid barometer by E.R. Watts & Son c.1900.
British made, but METRIC !!! Altitude in metres (0-3000), barometric pressure in millimeters (55-79) of mercury.
Near perfect condition, both functionally and cosmetically with bright gilt brass casement. Rotating bezel, responsive needle, fine silvered dial. The only noticeable wear is on the suspension loop !! Signed and serialized (London 2911). Maroon card case is near flawless with excellent clasp and hinge. A rare bird indeed !!!
