Description

An amazingly well kept and historically significant eight draw brass telescope by W.C. Cox, Devonport, Optician to the R.W.Y.C. (Royal Western Yacht Club-founded 1833). 1 3/4″ object lens, 29″ fully extended, 6″ collapsed length, perfect baleen outer covering. Great optics and at some point a 1/4″ hole drilled in the end cap such that it is fully functional without losing the cap (old bruise). No fogging or fungus in any of the lenses. A wonderful piece of yachting history. No owner’s name.
