BION (Nicolas), Traite de la construction et des principaux usages des instrumens de mathematique avec les figures necessaires pour l’intelligence de ce traite, Paris, Veuve Jean Boudot, Jacques Collombay, et Jean Boudot fils, 1752. 

 

Small 4to of (8) [on 10, the frontispiece is lacking], 448, (12) and 37 plates ; contemporary calf.

 

The latest edition given by the son of Nicolas Bion, this last one died in 1733.

The book contains its 3 plates showing several undred of scientific, optical, surveying, mathematical, timekeeping, astronomical instrument from the first half of the 18th century.

 

Even if the frontipiece is lacking a very good copy, well bound and with the inside very clean, complete of its plates and its portrait.
