Description

I know this is NOT scientific or medical, but as a novelty office item I present a Sycamore wood, Mauchline Ware needle case in the shape of a two draw telescope. Late Victorian photographic applique of the town of Morpeth ( north of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK). I could not find another example on the net ( closest was earlier Tartan version of a monocular opera glass). Perfect Sycamore wood construction, friction fit lid, nicely lathe- turned telescope details, 10 cm. total length. See photos.
