Description
 
An early and small pocket set of drawing instruments of possible French origin. The black card case (faux sharkskin) has a tartan interior but fleur-de-lys decorations at the junction of the top and bottom. Five instruments inside complete the set and include a 6" compass with interchangeable tine for a pen or pencil, a hand-held pencil and a 6" wooden rule with various scales. Overall fine condition. 170 x 45 x 15 mm. thick.
