Description

A nice early box sextant in bright lacquered brass.  This model was not fitted with a telescope, only a peep sight, and does not have filters tat swing outsise the body.  A green internal filter is operated by the control on top, to the left of the seextant arm.  A red filter can be slid across the peep hole. A lovely instrument, in very good condition, noting the loss of lacquer to the outside of the brass case.  It retains its original early style case, covered in thin dark red Morocco leather.  The case is missing its leather on top, and one catch is missing.  Diameter 2.75 inches (75mm).  Ganymede Stock No. 35-3738c.
