Description

SOLD – A four draw mahogany barrelled telescope, signed on the first draw, ‘G. Adams, London’. George Adams worked from 1734 – 1772 and his son (G. Adams 2) worked from 1772 – 1796. They had a Royal Appointment.

The telescope measures 11.5″ (29 cm) closed and 42.5 (108 cm) when fully open. The main lens is 48 mm diameter. It gives a magnification of 24 x. The optics are clear and sharp.

Damage free. It comes with a later wooden display stand.
