A superbly illustrated 97 pp. orthopedic catalog issued by Rainal Freres in 1900. It contains 11 polychrome lithographs showing female spinal deformities and the corsets the firm provided for their correction. There are also many black and white illustrations of a wide array of fascinating devices, some of which are reminiscent of medieval torture chambers. The catalog is in very good condition noting a small piece of the cover that is missing at the bottom of the spine. The contents are almost free of toning. A price list had been laid in that has toned two pages: one page with text only and another that is actually blank.
