A 4 draw Victorian brass telescope with baleen covered barrel, signed on the first draw in script, ‘L. Pedrone, Liverpool’. It measures 44″ fully extended and 11.5″ closed. The main objective lens has a diameter of 2″, protected with a lens cap. The telescope can be fitted to its brass tripod via a screw and clamp mechanism, secured to the 4th draw-tube. The tripod has a height of 16.5″ and a foot span of 11.5″. The telescope is free of dents and is very clear to look through, the lenses free of damage. Louis Pedrone worked from 1835 – 1864.
