An early example of  Laennec Stethoscope, complete and well preerved. Long 32,5cms (12’&3/4 inches).
Good patina with some chips on the surface. Some cottot inside the central join.

The last picture shows Laennec’s design for the stethoscope as shown in the first edition of his work,  A treatise on the diseases of the chest and on mediate auscultation (1819)
