A very good example of an Austrian traveling and folding compound microscope signed “Reichert Wien” and numbered “61945” on the folding foot, the case and the magification card.
The microscope is made in brass, black lacquer and nickeled steel. The microscope comes with a complete set of optics : two eyepieces (numbered II and IV) and three objectives (3, 6b and 1/2 immersion) ; nothing lacking as it is inscribed on the magnification card.
The vulcanite stage with removable slide clips folds vertically and foot scissor-folds to make a shallow profile for packing.
Eveyrthing is well packed in the travelling wood-leather case measuring 27x19x9 cm.
