Description

A nicely decorated scissor-type parallel rule made in brass and signed ” G. Adams London”. We can date the instrument from 1750-1760s’.

The paralle rule is decorated on both sides with repeated motif of beech leaf. On the top side is engravec a square protractor, on the underside a English sector with different scales.

The instrument measues closed : 15,2×4,6 cm

Despite two traces of rust on the underside, good condition. The mecanisms work perfectly.
