A French amputation set by Mouniot in Nantes, circa 1830.
The set preserves a large amputation saw (50 cm lenght) of really great quality in chromed steel and blued steel blade, three amputation knifes, a large tourniquet, several folding lancets, two pewter syringues, one trocart with silver canula, one scissor, and two small bullet’s extractors (?).
Are signed by Mouniot the two largest knifes ; the little scissor is signed by Mongin, the other instrument are unsigned.
The instruments are ebony handle and are in good condition.
The only flaw is a little lack of steel at the tip of the larger knife.
The case measures 56,5×23,5×10 cm. One of the two clasps is loose.
