A very fine and quite rare example of a French cased, in a typical green leather case lined in red chamois, Gould-type microscope signed “Dollond London” so datable circa late 1820s’.
The microscope is a small and portable brass Gould-type microscope we can use as a simple microscope or a compound microscope and of which three different lenses allow different magnifications.
But this English was made for the Continental market and was recased in a an attractive French green leather case lined in red chamoix.
A very example of this classic.
