Description

A good Coddington-type hand magnifier composed of a brass housing and hilt, two biconvex lenses and a card spacer. Not a true one piece Coddington but of exactly the same dimensions. Edge chips to lenses but do not show or affect the image due to the brass frame with knurled and threaded parts. Lenses are not scratched on the biconvex surfaces. The fruitwood handle is finely turned and highly figured. One inch diameter lenses give a combined 10X magnification. Overall length 4 1/2″ (11 cm.).
