Description
A very good example of large amputation saw with the mark “a crowned” which is the mark of Lesueur family, and here for Lesueur elder. We can date the saw circa 1780. It measures 49 cm lenght.
The frame of the saw is made in forged steel and quite elegante.
Despite a very small crack at the ebony handle, the condition is generally very good with nice a patina and its orignal blade.
A good example, signed, of a classic French 18th capital amputation saw.
