A large 4 3/8″ (110mm) diameter  inclining dial with silvered dial and blue steel needle with octagonal boss and crenellated crown.Raised on three threaded and knurled screws with two original glass levels.Signed Gilbert,Wright and Hooke,London who worked together at Leadenhall St from 1794-1801.This well used but complete and working example would benefit from some light cleaning and refurbishment.In an associated velvet lined shagreen covered case (probably refurbished at some point) closing with two brass hooks and eyelets and a single pinned hinge.
