A monolatitudinal silver Butterfield-dial with case.

Possibly English, Mid-XVIII

Dimension: 7,1cm x 6cm (2 ¾” x 2 ¼”), sterling silver, brass gnomon and compass bottom

Butterfield-type dial for the latitude of 50°.

Leather-covered case with blind tooling, orange chamois lined (hinge weak).

 

An attractive and quite unusual dial, in silver, all original.
