A rare Austrian prosthetic arm with metal hand, marked “Z”, “Zaddonix (?) – Wien”, I’d guess from the first half of the 1900’s.
Made from rigid orthopedic leather and steel braces, the metal hand (I guess aluminum) with thumb function, can rotate and its lockable.
Hand opens and closes by rotating the fixed forearm stump: forearm stump gets fitted into a leather brace, rotating the stump the mechanism works…
