A very unusual form of a tonsillotome equiped at the cutting edge with a mechanical pliers supplying the usual unique or double fork.

This modification seems to have been introduced by Mathieu in Paris around 1880.

The instrument is made entierely in steel and it is not signed but certainly by Mathieu.

A rare form of tonsillotome.

Size : 26,5 cm lenght.
