A very rare form for a parisian pewter bleeding bowl, without handle.
The bowl is signed by André-François Boicervoise with two hallmarks.
According with Claude Renner (see his article, page 221 : http://www.biusante.parisdescartes.fr/sfhm/hsm/HSMx2004x038x002/HSMx2004x038x002x0219.pdf) only the French bleeding bowls from Toulouse or Semur-en-Auxois were without handle.
