A German calendar in silvered metal – the twelve months of the year are represented by 12 original paintings on vellum. According with the style of the paintings, we can date the calendar from the late 17th century or the early 18th century.
This is a rare preserved German model of a silver metal calendar whose the names of the twelve months of the year are embellished with original paintings on vellum depicting allegorical scenes and genre scenes.
The 12 vellums and the calendar are in great condition.
The paper given the years and the days are modern.
