Description

An impressive and large three-plates surgical maritime set of which the instruments are mostly signed by Carter in Paris, and some by Charrière and other.

The set preserves a fine and complete trepanning set of trepanation instrument in the upper plate, plus some dental instruments.

The second plate some cautery instruments and scissors.

Finally the lowest plate is the amputation stage with 6 large knifes (4 by Carter), the large amputation saw by Carter and some other accessories.

Some rust and traces of uses.

A very large set for this early period, the early 19th century.
