A large piece of furniture built in blackened wood and datable from Napoleon III period or slightly later.
It is of a very unusual design and of a particularly decorative shape, certainly designed in the east of France according to a single/special order.
The cabinet measures 66x40x27cm ; it contains 208 microscope slides, mainly of human anatomy and pathological anatomy.
There are a few dates from 1880 to 1920, mostly from the 1890s, and several preparations bearing the label of the faculté de Nancy – Anatomie pathologique.
The piece of furniture is remarkable for its decorative aspect, evoking 18th century cabinets of curiosities.
Perfect condition of the furniture; missing plate numbered 3.
