Description

A great example in horn, and not in wood as usual, of a pocket/miniature polemoscope.

A polemoscope is an opera glass with an oblique mirror arranged for seeing objects that do not lie directly before the eye. It also called jealousy spyglass.

The present example measures 4,5 cm. His lens is in fine condition and original, also its both mirrors.

This is a continental example, certainly Italian or maye French.

The example have preserved is original acorn-shaped tinted wooden box.

Pristine condition.
