Description

A very early example of one of the first French slide rule preserved signed by Lenoir and datable between 1820 and 1832.

We know that Etienne Lenoir started to produce his first slide rule in 1820. Étienne Lenoir died in 1832 and his son Paul-Etienne, who taken over the family business died in 1827. So we can date this first form of French slide rule from 1820 to 1827-1832, not later.

The condition is excellent and the ruler slides perfectly. It measures 26cm lenght
