Description

A good example of an 18th French telescope constructed with cardboard covered with green vellum stamped with gilt decoration and a body with a black leather. The present example is unsigned. The eyepiece and objective cap are in ebony.

The eyepiece it’s a classic 3-lens refracting eyepiece. The focusing and view are thin but good.

The condition of telescope is original and fine with usual small accidents at the turned ebony ; the leather and green vellum are very well preserved even if the vellum is a little bit dirty.
