A very fine Morse electric telegraph-transmitter-receiver signed “Digney frères” and on a plate fixed on the wooden base “Digney Fres & Diverneresse / Btés SGDG n ° 8388”, France, c.1870.
The instrument is made of brass , steel, glass, varnished mahogany and measures 35x15x29 cm.
This is an important, early and beautiful French model in perfect working order of a complete Morse telegraph table, Digney model from the 1870s.
The clock movement for driving the paper strip is in working condition and the table includes an ink receiver with its original paper strip, an electric buzzer, a test galvanometer and its Morse transmitter with horn handle. Very complete with its original key.
Rare as complete and very beautiful wormanship by one of the pioneers in France of the Morse telegraphy.
