An excellent example of a British maritime or naval one-meter (exactly 96 cm) single draw octogonal telescope we can date from the middle of 18th century. The telescope is not signed and it is not achromatic.
The mahogany body tube measures 6 to 5 cm diameter. The inner tube is made of brass and the eyepiece contains three lenses.
Both side are their protective sliding caps.
The optics is original and gives a good and sharp image.
No restoration, genuine and good condition.
